Dryers for medicinal herbs
Medicinal herbs are heat-sensitive raw materials: overheating destroys essential oils and biologically active substances, the material browns and loses its pharmacopoeial quality. This is why gentle low-temperature drying with a uniform mode across the whole layer is needed here, rather than forced heating.
Chamomile, mint, lemon balm, calendula, lavender, sage, thyme, oregano, valerian, echinacea, nettle and St John's wort are dried differently depending on the form of the raw material: leaves, flowers and inflorescences require especially delicate handling, while root material (valerian, echinacea) follows a different logic. For this we select low-temperature belt, cabinet and static dryers.
For medicinal raw materials industrial drying matters twice over: it does not depend on the weather and delivers the stable, reproducible quality that processors and pharmaceutical buyers require.
